SECTION: Process Work Therapists & Facilitators
Mark O’Connell
Mark O’Connell, dipl.PW (Zurich). dipl FT. (Family Systems Therapy University of Plymouth). I have a private practice near Manningtree, Essex, where I work with individuals, young people and families as well as offering supervision for practising therapists. My main work is devoted to working as a psychotherapist for the Ryes School Organisation in Suffolk, a therapeutic community working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as with young people labelled with autism, ADHD, Tourettes Syndrome, PANDAS and other conditions. Together with my colleagues I am researching working with violence, developing and deepening community, and also offer a comprehensive training programme to staff within the organisation.
The Apricot Centre is a new venture I am involved in with my wife Marina. We hope to contribute to the much needed exploration around “sustainable living” ecopsychology and the human relationship with nature. We are offering a wide range of courses here relating to people, resources and the land. You can also find my blog at apricotcentre.blogspot.com
On either side of the millenium we developed and delivered a Higher Education course entitled “HNC in Sustainable Environments – The Ecology of People and the Land” which is currently not running.
